Thanks to Your Generosity ….
There is something special about the sound of children … especially when the children are trying to “raise the roof” at Vacation Bible School (VBS). They stood together in ragged rows, punctuating the air with their movements. They swayed, they twitched and they squirmed. They sang out boldly, trying to outdo each other. Miss Jill wanted loud and she got it! To call the presentation “music” may be stretching the point, but to call it a joyful noise was right on target. The spirit of the children was joy and love. A parent seated next to me turned, smiled, and said, “Isn’t this precious?” Truly, love abounds because the roar of their voices rose to the ceiling and beyond. I began to wonder if someone walking outside in the parking lot really could hear them. Do you know what I think? I think the Lord heard that special choir, and said, “It is good!” Because of your generosity, about 50 children got to experience the thrilling ride we call faith. Thank you for caring about children to make our annual VBS experience possible. Without your help, we could never fulfill the mission God has given us. Our mission extends even to the children who are learning new songs to sing in this world. They are learning about God’s unconditional love and our church is sowing seeds of faith into these precious lives. Your financial support to our church is so very important so we can continue to reach out to achieve our mission to “make disciples for Jesus Christ. We seek to relate people to Christ, connect people to the Body of Christ and reach out in love and concern to the world.”
